STREAM Made Simple® is built on these beliefs:

  • STREAM doesn't start with a box or a lab.
  • STREAM is more than an acronym.
  • STREAM is a mindset.
  • STREAM is teacher designed.
  • STREAM is student-driven.
  • STREAM supports Catholic values.

What Education Leaders Are Saying...

Sr. Jane Feltz | Principal, good shepherd academy, nutley

"Each month when the teachers completed the STEM workshop they found it to be encouraging that both they and the students were, 'Thinking outside the box'. Teachers exclaimed, 'We will be preparing our students to become problem solvers through inquiry based instructions', 'These strategies definitely move the faculty into bringing GSA Educational Standards into the 21st Century', 'All students will experience success in this exploratory environment.'"

Linda Durocher | Sacred Heart School, Lyndhurst

"The training was a complete success for our school. What I loved most about the program was that by the end of the process, every teacher in my building understood the STEM philosophy and found a way to incorporate STEM into her classroom in an individual way. From an administrator viewpoint, the benefits continue as I walk through the school with prospective parents. I've witnessed the evident changes in teaching strategy and student engagement and I’m proud to tell parents how their children will experience the advantages of this training and educational philosophy."

CASE STUDY: St. Bartholomew Catholic School, Miramar, FL

Says Principal Christine Gonzales, "Our teachers sometimes feel like, 'We're never going to be able to accomplish anything!' And then when you start making these wins, and you start seeing what the students are capable of producing, of what you are capable of leading and guiding, it really does something for their self-confidence and it really makes them see that, 'Oh, I can do this!'."

Since engaging with the workshops, coaching sessions, and assessments of Eduscape’s STREAM Made Simple Program, St. Bart’s has observed a radical shift in the disposition of its teachers, who are now as eager to collaborate with one another as they are to showcase their students’ accomplishments. Students are more engaged than ever and enjoy the freedom to explore the new opportunities afforded by effective STEM implementation. To celebrate their new lease on learning, students from all grades and disciplines contributed to “Journey to Mars,” a school-wide project incorporating creative STEM activities and a field trip to NASA.

St. Bartholomew Catholic School is a small PK-8 school in Southern Florida with 180 students and a staff of 20. The teachers are dedicated and experienced and the students motivated and eager, but their little school struggled to overcome outdated instructional methods and low classroom engagement. The addition of Photon robots and a shiny new STEM lab only underscored the need for effective professional development to transform teacher mindsets, unlock the full potential of classroom tech, and open new horizons of hands-on learning for all students.
