Case Study: Green Brook Township Public Schools

OVERVIEW

We partnered with Green Brook Township schools in 2022, completing our first year of the SEL academy in June 2023. Green Brook is now closing out their second year of doing the SEL Academy with Eduscape. The second year of the SEL Academy focused on deepening the staff’s competencies of SEL instruction as well as how to coordinate strategies to create a unified and effective learning program across the school/district. This was accomplished through workshops, eLearning-supplemented content, coaching, School Day, and data-driven planning.

The Challenge

One of the primary strategic goals of GBTPS is to “Create and maintain safe, positive, healthy climates for learning and working to nurture students and staff well-being.” The focus of this goal is to build teacher capacity around social-emotional wellness by using data to inform the efficacy of programs and execute timely interventions for continuous improvement. Eduscape partnered with GBTPS to aid them in reaching this goal through the SEL Academy program which combines a professional learning model with the integration of School Day, a social emotional wellness digital application that collects timely data from students and/or teachers to gauge their wellbeing.
