Eduscape Launches World Class Math Academy for Educators
Leading professional learning organization addresses critical educational challenge.
Recent NAEP and TIMSS scores highlight a persistent challenge in mathematics education across nearly all grade levels in the United States. As the nation continues to lag behind most industrialized countries on international assessments of K-12 students, Eduscape is taking action with a comprehensive solution focused on teacher preparation and support.

The Math Academy is led by Dr. Chandra Orrill, a nationally recognized mathematics education expert. Dr. Orrill currently serves as Executive Director of Rethink Learning Labs and previously held a professorship in mathematics at UMASS Dartmouth. Her leadership in securing and implementing millions in NSF grants for mathematics and STEM education research brings valuable expertise to the initiative. Dr. Orrill leads a dedicated team of full-time mathematics specialists and researchers with experience spanning all grade levels.
"Mathematical proficiency is fundamental to academic success, yet we continue to see limited results from traditional approaches to assessment, intervention, and instruction," Dr. Orrill explained. "We cannot expect more students to pursue STEM careers when their foundation in mathematics is unstable. The Math Academy implements a holistic approach to improving mathematics performance and comprehension, beginning with data analysis at district and school levels, followed by targeted professional learning. This blended delivery model combines on-site training, asynchronous course modules, and job-embedded coaching for maximum impact.
