MONTVALE, NJ (March 18, 2022) - Culturally Responsive Education (CRE) is the latest learning path launched by Eduscape, the leader in professional learning. The comprehensive courses are part of the myEduscape eLearning platform, which was designed to help educators and administrators learn at their own pace in one centralized location.
The courses were developed by Eduscape’s Director of Inclusivity and Innovation, Samantha Fletcher, Ed.M., whose areas of expertise include Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Early Childhood (EC). An international speaker on inclusive education, Fletcher is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she was a Fellow in both DEI and EC while pursuing her master’s in Technology, Innovation and Education. All of this gave her keen insight into best practices for infusing culturally responsive teaching into curriculum.
“I am beyond excited just thinking about how much this course will help educators on their journeys to become more culturally responsive teachers,” stated Fletcher. “Having been on both sides of teaching – in the classroom and as a coach providing teacher support – I know there are many teachers who want to teach in a culturally responsive way. I’m confident this will help with beginning or enhancing their culturally responsive teaching.”
The Culturally Responsive Education Learning Path includes four, two-hour courses that provide a foundational understanding of culturally responsive classroom practices and strategies for integration. The learning path will challenge perspectives and strengthen the ability to support all learners by engaging in dialogues about culturally responsive practices. Connect with learners who are thinking about how they can actively advocate for equity in their roles.
The courses included in this learning path are:
CRE: Beginning with Introspection
Foundations of Culturally Responsive Practices
Setting the Stage for Culturally Responsive Learning Experiences
CRE: Digging Deeper and Applying Components
Learners will discover methods to approach Culturally Responsive Education and the foundations of CRE practices, develop a plan to strengthen existing techniques or infuse new culturally responsive elements into their own practice, and dig deeper into CRE and how to apply it in any classroom.Contact us for a school or district quote at firstname.lastname@example.org.
