Engaging Student with AI: Practical Strategies and Activities

This session provides practical strategies and activities for introducing AI to students of all ages. Participants will learn about engaging ways to explain complex AI concepts, build excitement around the technology, and foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The session will also address potential challenges and provide tips for overcoming them.

Presenter: Jason Caputo

Jason is a Senior Learning Leader with Eduscape. Before joining Eduscape, he taught Italian to grades 6-12 for eleven years. In that time he used a communicative approach and real world scenarios to combine language learning with social emotional learning, 21st Century skills, and project based learning.

Jason earned his Bachelor's Degree in Italian at Rutgers University and his Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Maryland. He has presented strategies for implementing technology and social emotional learning in the world language classroom for FLENJ, AATI, NECTFL, and ACTFL.

Outside of Eduscape, Jason travels the world and cooks. He loves architecture (especially stairs), hand-pulled noodles, and aviation
