Donna Reichman, M. Ed, is a distinguished educational leader with over 30 years of experience supporting gifted and talented students. Recently retired as Assistant Superintendent of Wayne Township Public Schools, she now serves as a district consultant specializing in the intersection of academic excellence and mental health. Throughout her career as a gifted education teacher, principal, curriculum director, and administrator, Donna has developed comprehensive programs that address the unique challenges faced by gifted learners, including perfectionism, social isolation, and high-pressure expectations. Her innovative work includes creating specialized curricula that balance academic rigor with emotional growth, training educators to recognize mental health needs in gifted students, developing parent resources, and designing assessment tools that identify both intellectual ability and potential mental health concerns. Donna's mission centers on her belief that gifted students can only reach their full potential when schools provide coordinated support for both their exceptional academic abilities and their social-emotional well-being through comprehensive, school-wide mental health initiatives.
