Darian Eletto is a dually licensed clinician in the state of New Jersey, obtaining her licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). Darian began her career at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center as an intern. In her time at the medical center, she worked as a staff clinician in the Acute Partial Hospitalization Program. While in the Partial Program she created and facilitated the LGBTQ+ Group curriculum for patients in addition to educating staff on providing culturally competent care for their LGBTQ+ consumers. Her work with LGBTQ+ patients allowed her to become the mental health creator and provider for Bergen New Bridge’s LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness center, assisting with the creation and implementation of the Center’s opening and present mental health operations.

 
Her pervious role as Wellness Navigation Specialist, she managed BNBMC’s federal Suicide Prevention and Response grant. In her position, she identified patients who are experiencing a mental health crisis in need of care coordination within the hospital as well as in the community, facilitates care, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients supported during this critical time in their treatment. Darian spearheaded the creation and expansion of the Hope and Resiliency Center for Youth; an Intensive Outpatient Program services adolescents ages 11+. The program includes a specialized track for Body Neutrality and Positivity, focused on early intervention of poor body image and improved skills on self-esteem building. In her time as CCO, she has expanded the Center for Eating Disorders and Body Positivity to include an adolescent and adult intensive outpatient program as well as a traditional outpatient service line to provide accessible and lifesaving care.

 
In her current role as Chief Clinical Officer of Behavioral Health Services, Ms. Eletto oversees 14 inpatient psychiatric units of various levels of acuity treating ages 5+, the Center for Eating Disorders and Body Positivity, the Acute Partial Hospitalization Program, Outpatient Behavioral Health Department, and the Hope and Resiliency Center for Youth.


Darian has received multiple recognitions in her tenure as Chief of Behavioral Health including the prestigious NJAMHAA award for “Champion of Children Services” in 2024, further underscoring their dedication to the mental health field. This accolade reflects Darian’s ability to create impactful programs and deliver outstanding results. Darian received the ROI New Jersey Influencers: Women in Business Recognition, NJBIZ People to Watch in Healthcare. Darian has been published in multiple articles from nationwide news networks such as Becker’s Healthcare and multiple community publications like NJ Spotlight, providing insight on the behavioral space.

Ms. Eletto obtained her master’s in education from William Paterson University and is also a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). Additionally, she is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), a Certified Autism Health Care Professional (CAHCP), and a graduate of the Bergen County Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) as well as the Zero Suicide Academy. Darian is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Women’s Rights Information Center where she focuses on her passion for advocacy.
